So I just recently rented the Edward Burns film “Newlyweds” off of Apple TV. A good ol’ walk and talk New York film about relationships. I’m a big fan of these types of movies in general but this one really stands out. It has a super compelling story, great acting and the impromptu style of it really brought in the realism. The movie was shot entirely on a Canon 5D (the same camera my company uses to produce wedding films) and the budget for the film was $9000. Edward Burns wrote and directed the film and got a bunch of his actor friends to work for free. It’s incredible to see some one take advantage of the time we live in. We have all of this technology that is so accessible and affordable that can produce amazing imagery, and combined with a great story you can make something great. I highly recommend you rent it. Small movies likes these should come around more often.
